Booking Policy

At The Safari Room and Canvas Hair Company, we truly value all our loyal clients. We appreciate them attending their appointments, replying to our confirmation text messages, and calling us with plenty of notice if they are needing to reschedule or cancel their appointment. Our loyal clients understand we are a small business that relies on our clients confirming and attending appointments.

When an appointment is booked, this time is allocated specifically to you, our client. In some instances, adequate notice of cancellation hasn’t been provided, or a failure to attend the booked appointment has occurred. This would result in other potential clients missing out, not only wasting their valuable time, but that of our stylists.

To ensure absolute fairness for all clients, we have implemented an Appointment Booking Policy, applicable to all bookings. These types of booking and cancellation systems are becoming normal procedures within the hair and beauty industry.

  1. A modest booking deposit of $25 is required by clients to secure a haircut appointment. Longer appointment times for specialised services will require an additional $25/hour of service. Eg. Half Head of foils and haircut = 3 hours of service and will require a $75 booking deposit to be paid to secure the appointment. An appointment is not secured until a booking deposit is paid. Please ensure the appropriate services are booked as they cannot be cancelled upon arrival to the appointment. All booking deposits are redeemable on services and can be transferred from one appointment to the next. Booking deposits are not refundable.
  2. All non-attending clients, cancellations, reschedules and non-confirmed appointments within 48 hours of the booked appointment will be charged the booking deposit that is held for the appointment. Upon booking another appointment, a new booking deposit will be required.
  3. We understand that sickness-related issues are unpredictable situations, but we still require adequate notice of cancellation. If you arrive unwell to your appointment, we reserve the right to cancel the appointment. We have a duty of care to protect the health and well-being of other clients and staff. The booking deposit will be charged, and our Booking Policy still applies.
  4. To ensure clients have plenty of notice, we send a confirmation text message 4 working days prior to a scheduled appointment. This is an automated system and can only receive “YES” or “NO” responses. We are unable to receive voice calls on this number. Please make sure you respond to the confirmation text message. A follow-up reminder text message will be sent 2 working days before the scheduled appointment. This ensures there is an adequate notice about the booked appointment and plenty of time to reschedule or cancel the booked appointment without penalty. If the booked appointment has not been confirmed within 48 hours of the booked appointment, it may be cancelled, and the booking deposit will be charged.
